26 LC 129 0955 House Resolution 1286 By: Representatives Huddleston of the 72nd, Howard of the 71st, Smith of the 18th, Smith of the 70th, New of the 40th, and others A RESOLUTION Commending the University of West Georgia cheerleading team; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the University of West Georgia (UWG) cheerleading team has established and2 maintained a reputation of excellence and global recognition as a dynasty; and3 WHEREAS, the UWG cheerleading team has won 34 team titles and six partner titles, for4 a total of 40 national championships for All-Girl and Co-ed squads from 2001-2026; and5 WHEREAS, its All-Girl and Co-ed squads recently competed agains t top-ranked teams6 across the nation at the Universal Cheerleaders Association National College Championship7 in Orlando, Florida, with the Large Co-Ed squad and the All-Girl squad bringing home the8 Division I National Championship; and9 WHEREAS, the UWG cheerleading team exemplifies extraordinary talent in their roles as10 student athletes through excellence in academics and contributions to the university and the11 community off stage; and12 WHEREAS, the incredible performance of these impressive athletes is a clear indication of13 the athletic ability, resilience, and character of each team me mber under the direction of14 H. R. 1286 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0955 coaches Nicole Nichols, Brian Nichols, Landon Harvey, Jalen Jon es, Journey Norries,15 Jasmine Braddock, Abby Wang, and Camila Pagan; and16 WHEREAS, the 2025-2026 Large Co-ed team included Aubree Hays, B aileigh West,17 Brandon Haynes, Brayden Merrill, Caitlyn Nijoka, Caleb Southward, Corban Morris, Dave18 Araujo, Dylan Worthington, Elise Linker, Guilin Puchaerellu, Hannah Lloyd, James Conley,19 John Farrell, Kailey Sauseda, Kate Gann, Kyle Duncan, Madison Hollan, Michael Williams,20 Noelle Anthony, Olivia Arno, Terryon Harris, Tori Napolitano, T rinity Livaudais, and21 Zachary Letson; and 22 WHEREAS, the 2025-2026 All-Girl team included Alliyah Washington, Abby Faith, Addi23 Vallot, Alexa Price, Alexandra Reynolds, Anna Collins, Anna Kate Harrison, Aviendha St.24 Sauver, Carly Pender, Heidi Hohloch, Jada Gibson, Josephine Viator, Josie Moore, Journey25 Willis, Kalli Grace Turman, Karigan Willis, Lily Watson, Madeli ne Riser, Megan Briner,26 Mia Smith, Sarah Klinck, and Sydney Fowlkes. 27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body commend the University of West Georgia cheerleading team on29 its legacy of excellence and extend the sincerest best wishes for continued success.30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized31 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the32 University of West Georgia cheerleading team.33 H.
