26 LC 129 0952 Senate Resolution 722 By: Senators Wicks of the 34th, Anderson of the 43rd, Harbison of the 15th, Rhett of the 33rd and Kemp of the 38th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Anissa D. Hunter; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Dr. Anissa D. Hunter is a United States Navy veteran, author, educator, and2 mental health advocate; and 3 WHEREAS, she honorably served in the United States Navy as a Pe rsonnelman and4 Legalman, valiantly and courageously protecting her fellow Amer icans aboard the USS5 Yosemite (AD-71) and USS Eisenhower (CVN-69); and6 WHEREAS, following her military service, Dr. Hunter has dedicated her career to advocacy,7 education, and leadership development, particularly in the areas of mental health awareness,8 holistic wellness, and community support; and9 WHEREAS, she is the author of Baby Steps to Holistic Living and the forthcoming10 Whole-Powered Leadership , which is grounded in her proprietary clarity-driven,11 human-centered leadership framework that integrates evidence-based leadership principles,12 whole-person sustainability, and real-world application to support alignment, accountability,13 and lasting results; and14 S. R. 722 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0952 WHEREAS, Dr. Hunter passionately serves her community with the National Alliance of15 Mental Illness (NAMI), The American Legion Post 0066, Henry Cou nty Special Needs16 Adults, and CoreLife Wellness; and17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplary Georgian be appropriately18 honored.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body20 recognize and commend Dr. Anissa D. Hunter for helping Georgia leaders navigate change,21 reduce mental overload, and translate insight into action.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Dr. Anissa D.24 Hunter.25 S.
