House Resolution 1287

A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending T.E. Moye, Jr.; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, T.E. Moye, Jr., has long been recognized by the citize ns of this state for the2
vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare3
of the citizens of Georgia; and4
WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,5
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced6
dramatically by his nearly 30 years of service to the Georgia Farm Bureau, 10 years as the7
County Chairman of Baker County, and 14 years as President of the Georgia Federal State8
Inspection Service; and9
WHEREAS, T.E.'s significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience and10
diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have11
earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and12
WHEREAS, born and raised in Baker County, Georgia, T.E. also ow ns and operates a13
peanut, corn, cotton, and beef cattle farm; and14

WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for15
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and16
WHEREAS, T.E. has served with honor and distinction, and his vi sion and unyielding17
commitment will be sorely missed upon the occasion of his retirement; and18
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this19
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21
the members of this body recognize and commend T.E. Moye, Jr., for his efficient, effective,22
unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia ; congratulate him upon the23
grand occasion of his retirement; and extend the most sincere b est wishes for continued24
health and happiness.25
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to T.E.27
