A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. John Pace, III, on his outstandi ng public service as a1
superintendent of Henry County Schools; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Dr. John Pace, III, has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the3
vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the education4
of students in Henry County, Georgia; and5
WHEREAS, Dr. Pace’s prestigious career began in the classroom as a music instructor, jazz6
band director, and co-concert and marching band director for Miami Norland Senior High7
School; he later held roles including Chief Operating Officer of School Operations, region8
superintendent, administrative director of the Education Transformation Office, principal of9
Myrtle Grove K-8 Center, and assistant principal of Norland Elementary School; and 10
WHEREAS, since his appointment as superintendent in September 2024, Dr. Pace has made11
a significant and lasting impact on Henry County Schools; and12
WHEREAS, he has placed emphasis on the importance of data-drive n leadership to13
accelerate achievement and invested time in rallying the commun ity around the power of14
public education in Henry County; and15

WHEREAS, Dr. Pace implemented regular P.O.W.E.R. (Priority Outc omes Wielding16
Exceptional Results) Forums, which bring together all principals and district leadership to17
share accountability around monitoring data and removing any ba rriers to student18
achievement; and 19
WHEREAS, he also launched his weekly “Catch the Pace” video series, which has garnered20
tens of thousands of views across district social media channels to engage students, families,21
staff, and community in topics of interest to all Henry County Schools stakeholders; and22
WHEREAS, Dr. Pace’s significant organizational and leadership talents, extensive career in23
public education, remarkable patience and diplomacy, and keen sense of vision have earned24
him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and25
WHEREAS, Dr. Pace serves with honor and distinction with Henry County Schools, and his26
vision and unyielding commitment to student success have set the standard for public service.27
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body28
recognize and commend Dr. John Pace, III, for his efficient, ef fective, unselfish, and29
dedicated public service to the state of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for30
continued health and happiness.31
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed32
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr. John Pace, III.33
