26 LC 129 0903 House Resolution 1289 By: Representatives Rice of the 139th, Smith of the 138th, Reese of the 140th, Buckner of the 137th, and Hugley of the 141st A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Brian Daniel Waters; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Brian Daniel Waters on January 28, 2026; and3 WHEREAS, Brian Daniel Waters was born on September 14, 1965, in Montgomery,4 Alabama; and5 WHEREAS, unwaveringly committed to his community, Brian served as a dedicated board6 member and president of PAWS Humane for almost a decade; created the Barks and Blues7 Concert Series, their annual fundraiser that is still enjoyed every spring along the banks of8 the Chattahoochee River; and served as a board member for Midto wn Columbus9 Incorporated for four years; and10 WHEREAS, Brian's voice can be heard internationally in promotions for clients such as DC11 Comics Show, Washington Golf Show, the Virginia Lottery, the Wa shington Capitols,12 Bojangles, Denny's, Chevrolet, Jeep/Ram, Dodge, Volkswagen, the Price is Right stage, and13 others; and14 H. R. 1289 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0903 WHEREAS, Brain's leadership in the broadcast radio industry is distinguished by a history15 of superior ratings, team building, and mentoring; his love for music was evident in every16 project he undertook, and his dedication to excellence inspired generations of radio17 programmers and personalities; and18 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his generous spirit, high ideals, morals, and19 deep concern for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patienc e, and understanding he20 demonstrated to his family, friends, and colleagues were admired by others; and21 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation22 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he23 made this world a better place in which to live; and24 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Brian Daniel Waters will long be25 remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who26 had the great fortune of knowing him.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Brian Daniel Waters and29 express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized31 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the32 family of Brian Daniel Waters.33 H.
