26 LC 129 0938 Senate Resolution 733 By: Senators Kemp of the 38th, Sims of the 12th, Davenport of the 17th, Howard of the 35th, Wicks of the 34th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing the North Atlanta High School sabre fencing team for winning the 2023, 2024,1 and 2025 On Guard High School Fencing League of Georgia Sabre T eam state2 championships; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, North Atlanta High School sabre fencing team's achievement is a testament to4 its hard work, discipline, teamwork, and the unwavering support of its coaches, families, and5 school community; and 6 WHEREAS, through an exemplary commitment to excellence, the sabre fencing team has7 brought great pride and distinction to North Atlanta High School and Atlanta Public Schools;8 and 9 WHEREAS, the following student athletes have exemplified dedication, sportsmanship, and10 exceptional talent in securing these three championship titles: co-captains Christopher11 Shankwiler and Fuller Stoll; William Echols, Alex Kuo, and Felix Perry-Roldan; two-year12 champions Christopher Eatmon, Nicholas Mosley, Aaden Muhammad, Preston So, and13 Gabrielle Sullivan; and one-year champions Jacob Ahn, John Henry Collins, Jonathan Davis,14 Leah Hsu, Tremayne Jones, Samuel Kim, Graydon Linard, Jaylen Lo ve, Jillian Malkin,15 S. R. 733 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0938 Daniel McKenzie, Conner Norris, Amari Pantaleon-Mazola, Joaquin Serrano, Dane Sharp,16 Franklin Walker, and Ava Youd; and17 WHEREAS, the dedicated leadership and guidance of the coaching staff were instrumental18 in the team's success, and Coach Kaja Lasker and teacher sponso r Kelsey Sirmana are19 commended for their outstanding efforts; and 20 WHEREAS, through months of ri gorous training, c onditioning, and competition, this21 transcendent team earned a well deserved reputation for excelle nce by performing with22 confidence, grit, and precision, and it is abundantly proper to recognize them as champions.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body24 recognize the North Atlanta High School sabre fencing team for their exceptional25 achievement as the 2023, 2024, and 2025 On Guard High School Fencing League of Georgia26 Sabre Team State Champions.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed28 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the North Atlanta29 High School sabre fencing team.30 S.
