A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Creekside High School Seminoles football team upon winning the 20251
GHSA Class 4A State Football Championship; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Creekside High School Seminoles football team completed an extraordinary3
15-0 undefeated season, defeating Benedictine 42-39 in the state championship game held4
on December 15, 2025, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium; and5
WHEREAS, this win was a historic accomplishment for the school and community, as it was6
the program's first state championship since 2013; and7
WHEREAS, Creekside High School set a Georgia high school football record with 845 total8
points scored during the season, demonstrating excellence, discipline, and tenacity; and9
WHEREAS, the dedication and leadership of the athletic departme nt, coaching staff, and10
student-athletes, together with the steadfast support of the So uth Fulton community and11
families, are all responsible for the team's success; and12

WHEREAS, Creekside High School has gained pride and positive re cognition from its13
victory, which also serves as a dynamic illustration of coopera tion, tenacity, and14
sportsmanship.15
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body16
congratulate the Creekside High School Seminoles football team, head coach Maurice Dixon,17
and all coaches and staff on their outstanding accomplishment as the 2025 GHSA Class 4A18
State Football Champions and wish them continued success on and off the field.19
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed20
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to the Creekside21
High School Seminoles football team.22
