26 LC 129 0817 House Resolution 1292 By: Representatives Martin of the 49th, Dempsey of the 13th, Efstration of the 104th, Carpenter of the 4th, and Barrett of the 24th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Ms. Noelia Sargento; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Ms. Noelia Sargento is the state recipient of the Technical College System of2 Georgia 2025 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education ( EAGLE) award, which3 recognizes adult learners in pursuit of excellence; and4 WHEREAS, EAGLE celebrates and recognizes adult learners from across the state who have5 demonstrated exceptional achievement in adult education classes; and6 WHEREAS, for 32 years, the EAGLE program has created a greater awareness of adult7 education opportunities availa ble in local communities across t he state and has fostered8 involvement in lifelong learning pursuits; and9 WHEREAS, Ms. Sargento was selected from among 25 EAGLE delegate s who have10 demonstrated excellent academic achievements within their local adult education programs;11 and 12 H. R. 1292 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0817 WHEREAS, Ms. Sargento will serve as an ambassador for adult edu cation in Georgia,13 representing nearly 22,000 students who benefit from adult education programs throughout14 the state; and15 WHEREAS, in pursuing her education, Ms. Sargento has brought ho nor to herself, her16 family, Georgia Northwestern Technical College and the entire Technical College System17 of Georgia, which she represents as Georgia's exceptional adult education student for 2025.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body commend and congratulate Ms. Noelia Sa r g e n t o f o r h e r20 exceptional achievements and efforts to promote adult education in Georgia.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ms.23 Noelia Sargento.24 H.
