26 LC 129 0936 Senate Resolution 732 By: Senators Kemp of the 38th, Sims of the 12th, Davenport of the 17th, Howard of the 35th, Wicks of the 34th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Every Color Matters for its outstand ing service, advocacy,1 and dedication to improving public health and ensuring equitable access to cancer care; and2 for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, Every Color Matters is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness4 about cancer, promoting early detection, and providing direct s upport to individuals and5 families affected by cancer, regardless of race, background, or socioeconomic status; and 6 WHEREAS, this organization was founded on the principle that every life matters and that7 access to cancer education, resources, and support should be equitable and inclusive; and 8 WHEREAS, Every Color Matters has demonstrated a strong commitme nt to community9 empowerment through educational outreach, fundraising initiatives, and public awareness10 campaigns that encourage proactive health screenings and early intervention; and 11 WHEREAS, this organization provides meaningful financial assistance and support services12 to families navigating the physical, emotional, and economic ch allenges associated with13 cancer treatment; and 14 S. R. 732 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0936 WHEREAS, Every Color Matters hosts impactful community events, including annual galas15 and health focused runs and walks which unite survivors, advocates, healthcare professionals,16 and community leaders in collective action against cancer; and17 WHEREAS, through its scholarship programs and charitable initiatives, Every Color Matters18 invests in the future by supporting students and families whose lives have been affected by19 cancer; and 20 WHEREAS, Every Color Matters has strengthened community awarene ss, fostered21 compassion, and delivered hope to countless individuals facing cancer related challenges.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body23 recognize and commend Every Color Matters for its outstanding s ervice and advocacy as24 well as for its dedication to equitable access to care and to improving the lives of individuals25 and families affected by cancer.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed27 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Every Color28 Matters.29 S.
