26 LC 129 0820 Senate Resolution 748 By: Senators Harrell of the 40th, McLaurin of the 14th, Orrock of the 36th, Halpern of the 39th, Parent of the 44th and others A RESOLUTION Honoring the lives and memory of Anne Isenhower and her son, Ma x Podowitz; and for1 other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Anne Isenhower was a longtime resident of Dunwoody, Georgia, and a highly3 respected public relations professional whose career was marked by integrity, generosity, and4 a deep commitment to public service and community engagement; and5 WHEREAS, Anne was trusted by journalists, admired by colleagues , and known for her6 willingness to mentor young professionals, opening doors for others, sharing her expertise,7 and lifting up voices and causes she believed in; and8 WHEREAS, Anne believed deeply in human rights, civic participat ion, and the values of9 decency, justice, and fairness, and she lived those principles daily through her work, her10 advocacy, and her engagement in her community; and11 WHEREAS, Anne gave her time and talents generously to causes and campaigns she cared12 about, offering thoughtful counsel, creative insight, and steadfast support, and was known13 for being fully committed to the people and work she believed in; and14 S. R. 748 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0820 WHEREAS, Anne’s greatest joy was her beloved son, Max Podowitz, for whom she15 expressed profound love and devotion, and whose life was central to everything she did; and16 WHEREAS, Max Podowitz was a freshman at New York University, a talented guitarist with17 a gentle spirit, intellectual curiosity, and creative promise, whose kindness and18 thoughtfulness left a lasting impression on those who knew him; and19 WHEREAS, Anne and Max shared a close bond and a deep compassion for others, working20 together to support causes reflecting their shared values, including animal welfare, and were21 members of the Georgia House Rabbit Society, united by their care for vulnerable creatures;22 and23 WHEREAS, the sudden and tragic loss of Max Podowitz in early De cember was a24 devastating blow to his family and community, and the profound grief that followed led,25 shortly thereafter, to the passing of Anne Isenhower, leaving a n immeasurable void in the26 lives of those who loved them; and27 WHEREAS, the lives of Anne Isenhower and Max Podowitz stand as a testament to love,28 generosity, mentorship, and a belief in a more just and compassionate world.29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body30 honor the lives and memory of Anne Isenhower and her son, Max Podowitz; recognize their31 contributions to their community and the causes they cared deeply about; and extend their32 deepest and most sincere regret at their passing.33 S. R. 748 - 2 - 26 LC 129 0820 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed34 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of Anne35 Isenhower and Max Podowitz.36 S.
