26 LC 129 1041 House Resolution 1320 By: Representatives Panitch of the 51st, Holcomb of the 101st, Cox of the 28th, Miller of the 62nd, Roberts of the 52nd, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Honorable Judge Stacey K. Hydrick for her distinguished1 judicial service; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey K. Hydrick has served the State o f Georgia with3 distinction, integrity, and dedication throughout an exemplary legal and judicial career; and4 WHEREAS, Judge Hydrick was appointed by Governor Brian P. Kemp on July 15, 2019,5 to the DeKalb County Superior Court, Division 6, where she presides over complex felony6 criminal matters, including violent crimes, drug trafficking, gang and RICO cases, and also7 adjudicates domestic relations and civil matters of significant impact; and 8 WHEREAS, Judge Hydrick previously served as a DeKalb County Sta te Court Judge9 following her appointment by Governor Nathan Deal, presiding over civil and misdemeanor10 criminal cases with fairness, professionalism, and sound judicial judgment; and11 WHEREAS, her distinguished career also includes service as a Ch ief Senior Assistant12 District Attorney, Special Assistant United States Attorney, and Assistant Attorney General,13 where she led major public co rruption prosecutions and demonstr ated an unwavering14 commitment to justice and accountability; and15 H. R. 1320 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1041 WHEREAS, Judge Hydrick has been widely recognized for her leadership, mentorship, and16 service to the legal community, receiving numerous honors and s erving in key leadership17 roles within the judiciary and the State Bar of Georgia.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body commend and honor the Honorable Stacey K. Hydrick for her20 outstanding service to the judiciary and the citizens of this s tate and extend their sincere21 appreciation and best wishes for continued success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24 Honorable Stacey K.
