26 LC 129 1015 Senate Resolution 759 By: Senators Williams of the 25th, Hufstetler of the 52nd, Gooch of the 51st, Kirkpatrick of the 32nd, Burns of the 23rd and others A RESOLUTION Commending Quanya Pendleton-Sears, a 2026 Don Cargill STEM Scho lar; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young3 people, and Quanya Pendleton-Sears exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic4 of our finest teachers; and5 WHEREAS, Quanya Pendleton-Sears is a highly praised fourth grad e science and social6 studies teacher at Heritage Elementary School, tirelessly directing an extraordinary amount7 of time and talent toward guiding students to a brighter future; and8 WHEREAS, the scholarship will directly enhance meaningful learn ing experiences, help9 students connect classroom learning to real-world problem solvi ng, and further engage,10 inspire, and empower Quanya Pendleton-Sears' students, fostering curiosity, creativity, and11 critical thinking; and12 WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare13 of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the14 extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.15 S. R. 759 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1015 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body16 commend Quanya Pendleton-Sears upon being selected as a 2026 Don Cargill STEM Scholar17 and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed19 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Quanya20 Pendleton-Sears.21 S.
