26 LC 129 1087 House Resolution 1359 By: Representatives Kendrick of the 95th, Mitchell of the 88th, Oliver of the 84th, and Carter of the 93rd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Lisa Morgan; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Lisa Morgan has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital2 role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal co mmitment to the welfare of3 the citizens of Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,5 talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced6 dramatically by her superlative service as the President of the Georgia Association of7 Educators (GAE); and8 WHEREAS, prior to serving as GAE President, Lisa also served as a District Director on the9 GAE Board of Directors, GAE Secretary-Treasurer, and GAE Vice President; and10 WHEREAS, Lisa's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience and11 diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have12 earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and13 H. R. 1359 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1087 WHEREAS, she is the first GAE President to serve 3 terms, in wh i c h G A E s a w a n14 unprecedented growth in membersh ip and advocacy for public educ ation in all parts of15 Georgia; and16 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for17 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and18 WHEREAS, Lisa has served with honor and distinction with GAE, a nd her vision and19 unyielding commitment to student success have set the standard for public service; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body recognize and commend Lisa Morgan for her efficient, effective,24 unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere25 best wishes for continued health and happiness.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Lisa28 Morgan.29 H.
