26 LC 129 1090 Senate Resolution 776 By: Senators Mallow of the 2nd, Watson of the 11th and Williams of the 25th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Ms. Versie Zanders upon her retireme nt; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, Ms. Versie Zanders, affectionately know as Ms. V., has long been recognized3 by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep4 personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and5 WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,6 talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced7 dramatically by her 14 years of superlative service with the Ethics Commission; and8 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high9 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom10 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved11 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and12 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for13 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and14 S. R. 776 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1090 WHEREAS, Ms. V. has served the State of Georgia with honor and distinction, and her15 vision and unyielding commitment to faith, family, and communit y will be sorely missed16 upon the occasion of her retirement; and17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this18 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body20 recognize and commend Ms. Versie Zanders for her efficient, eff ective, unselfish, and21 dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; congratulate her upon the grand occasion22 of her retirement; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and23 happiness.24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed25 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Ms. Versie26 Zanders.27 S.
