A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Pierce County High School cheerleading team for winning the 20251
GHSA Class 2A State Cheerleading Championship; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Pierce County High School cheerleading team has upheld a proud tradition3
of excellence, demonstrating outstanding athleticism, dedication, and school spirit; and4
WHEREAS, the team earned the 2025 GHSA Class 2A State Cheerleading Championship,5
showcasing exceptional skill, precision, and teamwork throughout the season; and6
WHEREAS, this championship marks a consecutive state title for the program and the ninth7
state championship in the school's history, reflecting a legacy of excellence and8
perseverance; and9
WHEREAS, the success of this remarkable team is a testament to the leadership, guidance,10
and commitment of Coaches Mandy Beverly and Megan Nix, whose me ntorship was11
instrumental in achieving this accomplishment; and12
WHEREAS, the championship team was composed of the following ta lented13
student-athletes: Suzanna Carrin, Mollie Williams, Mylee Simmons, Aniston Allen, Abby14

Reese Wright, Sarah Kate Echols, Macy Thornton, Addie Jordan, Blakely Varnadore, Anslie15
Allen, Julia Swain, Charley Taylor, Jacy Barber, Blakeli Rentz, Mylie Cason, Jill Brogdon,16
and Nayla Andreae; and17
WHEREAS, the Pierce County High School cheerleading team has brought great pride to its18
school and community, earning a reputation for excellence, sportsmanship, and the relentless19
pursuit of success both on and off the competition floor.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body21
congratulate the Pierce County High School cheerleading team on winning the 2025 GHSA22
Class 2A State Cheerleading Championship and extend best wishes to the players, coaches,23
and supporters for continued success in all future endeavors.24
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed25
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Pierce County26
High School cheerleading team.27
