26 LC 129 1010 Senate Resolution 769 By: Senators Parent of the 44th, Anderson of the 43rd, Jones II of the 22nd, Harrell of the 40th, Howard of the 35th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Renee S. Knight; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Renee S. Knight has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the2 vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare3 of the citizens of Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,5 talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced6 dramatically by her 2017 election and 2021 re-election as a member of the City of Morrow7 City Council, where she serves as Mayor Pro-Tem; and8 WHEREAS, throughout her tenure on the city council, Renee has demonstrated exemplary9 leadership, commitment, accountability, and civic engagement; and10 WHEREAS, Renee currently serves as a business analyst for Clayton County Public Schools,11 where her significant organizational and leadership talents, re markable patience and12 diplomacy, and keen sense of vision have earned her the respect and admiration of her13 colleagues and associates; and14 S. R. 769 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1010 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for15 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and16 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this17 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body19 recognize and commend Renee S. Knight for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated20 public service and extend their sincere best wishes for her continued health, happiness, and21 success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Renee S.
