HR1360: HR1360 Barrow County's 2026 STAR Students and STAR Teachers; commend

26 LC 129 1056 House Resolution 1360 By: Representatives Persinger of the 119th and Efstration of the 104th A RESOLUTION Commending Barrow County's 2026 STAR Students and STAR Teachers ; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, the following students have been recognized as Barrow County's 2026 STAR3 Students: Seth Johnson, Apalachee High School; Keely Schmook, Barrow Arts & Sciences4 Academy; Josie McElhannon, Winder-Barrow High School; and Willi am Adolphson,5 Bethlehem Christian Academy; and6 WHEREAS, these students were granted the opportunity to name a STAR Teacher from their7 respective schools whose guidance and support played a vital ro le in their success:Mr.8 William Threadgill from Apalachee High School, Mrs. Cheri Schreibman from Barrow Arts9 & Sciences Academy, Dr. Ashley Floyd from Winder-Barrow High School, and Tim Wood10 from Bethlehem Christian Academy; and11 WHEREAS, these exemplary students have personified the selfless dedication, mental12 agility, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance; and13 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most14 important objective of the Georgia General Assembly, and these distinguished individuals15 H. R. 1360 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1056 have shown that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the16 students in this state; and17 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation tow ard the future of these18 bright and promising young students and honors the efforts of educators who go above and19 beyond in order to impact the lives of our youth.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body heartily commend Barrow County's 2026 STAR Students and22 STAR Teachers and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the25 public and the press.26 H.
