26 LC 129 1085 Senate Resolution 784 By: Senators Howard of the 35th, Kemp of the 38th, Anderson of the 43rd, Wicks of the 34th, James of the 28th and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; and1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Frate rnity, Inc., was3 named Alumni Chapter of the Year at the Alpha Georgia District Association Convention;4 and 5 WHEREAS, this prestigious award honors the Georgia chapter that demonstrated exceptional6 performance throughout the year across key areas including memb ership engagement,7 programming excellence, innovative initiatives, and alignment with the fraternity’s values8 of leadership development, brotherhood, and community service; and9 WHEREAS, the award recognized the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter's o utstanding10 leadership, community impact, and commitment to the mission of the fraternity; and11 WHEREAS, Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter, known as The Cobb County Al phas, proudly12 serves young men in Cobb high schools through its Youth to Men initiative; and13 S. R. 784 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1085 WHEREAS, chartered in 1986, and celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Omicron14 Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., is comprised of passionate, hard15 working, and dedicated men, who together fulfill the fraternity’s mission and make a lasting16 impact in Cobb County.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body18 congratulate the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha F raternity, Inc., upon19 being named Alumni Chapter of the Year.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed21 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Omicron Mu22 Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.23 S.
