26 LC 129 1026 Senate Resolution 785 By: Senators Parent of the 44th, Jones of the 10th, Mangham of the 55th, Harrell of the 40th, Jackson of the 41st and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Mark Arnold; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Mark Arnold has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital2 role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare of the3 citizens of Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, Mark currently serves on the Decatur City Commission and is vice president5 of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence for CRH Americas Materials, Inc., the world's6 largest building materials company; and7 WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,8 talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced9 dramatically by his superlative service on the Legacy Park Boar d of Directors, the City of10 Decatur Charter Review Commission, the Beacon Hill Middle School Leadership Team, the11 Decatur MLK Service Project, and the Decatur-DeKalb YMCA board; and12 WHEREAS, Mark is the founder of Nuestro Banco, a pioneering community bank in North13 Carolina, where he developed a groundbreaking business model for a Spanish-language bank14 approved by the FDIC Southeastern regional office; and15 S. R. 785 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1026 WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for16 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this18 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body20 recognize and commend Mark Arnold for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated21 public service and extend their sincere best wishes for his continued health, happiness, and22 success.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed24 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mark Arnold.25 S.
