26 LC 129 1160 House Resolution 1388 By: Representatives Baker of the 64th, Alexander of the 66th, and New of the 40th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Atlanta Community Food Bank for its partnership efforts1 in Douglas County and its continued commitment to combating food insecurity throughout2 the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, the ongoing challenge of food insecurity affects worki ng families, seniors,4 veterans, and children across Georgia; and5 WHEREAS, the Atlanta Community Food Bank plays a vital role as a critical regional6 partner supporting local food pantries, faith-based organizations, and community agencies;7 and8 WHEREAS, its coordination of logistics, volunteer mobilization, and community9 partnerships strengthens food access in Douglas County and throughout the State of Georgia;10 and11 WHEREAS, the Atlanta Community Food Bank's leadership ensures that families receive12 nutritious food with dignity and respect.13 H. R. 1388 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1160 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that14 the members of this body recognize and commend the Atlanta Community Food Bank for15 its partnership efforts in Douglas County and its continued commitment to combating food16 insecurity throughout the State of Georgia.17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized18 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the19 Atlanta Community Food Bank.20 H.
