26 LC 129 1122 House Resolution 1387 By: Representatives Baker of the 64th, Alexander of the 66th, and New of the 40th A RESOLUTION Recognizing Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., for its longstanding service and contributions1 to the communities of Douglas, Paulding, and Carroll Counties; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., is an international service organization founded3 on the principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift; and4 WHEREAS, the fraternity has left a meaningful impact in Douglas , Paulding, and Carroll5 Counties though dedicated and passionate community engagement i nitiatives, including6 mentorship initiatives, scholarship programs, civic engagement efforts, youth development7 activities, and charitable outreach; and8 WHEREAS, the organization has had a positive impact on families, students, and community9 institutions throughout the region; and10 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,11 Inc., are commended for their continued commitment to service and leadership.12 H. R. 1387 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1122 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that13 the members of this body recognize Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, In c., for its longstanding14 service and contributions to the communities of Douglas, Paulding, and Carroll Counties.15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized16 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to17 Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.18 H.
