26 LC 129 1105 Senate Resolution 796 By: Senators Kemp of the 38th, Wicks of the 34th, Mangham of the 55th, Hodges of the 3rd, Lucas of the 26th and others A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Erica Christine Easter; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Erica Christine Easter's life was marked by unwavering faith, compassion, and2 a servant's heart, leaving a lasting imprint on all who were blessed to know her; and3 WHEREAS, Erica pursued academic excellence and leadership at th e revered Howard4 University in Washington, D.C., where she cultivated lifelong friendships and exemplified5 the values of sisterhood, service, and scholarship through her commitment to Delta Sigma6 Theta Sorority, Inc.; and7 WHEREAS, she carried those values into her professional life, s erving with distinction in8 the Office of the Mayor of Washington, D.C., the Metropolitan W ashington Airports9 Authority, and even lending her organizational skills to the National Charter Collaborative10 impacting students across the State of Georgia and the country; and11 WHEREAS, Erica was known for her radiant smile, generous heart, and ability to bring12 comfort to all who were lucky to meet her, offering encouragement, laughter, and grace to13 friends, colleagues, and loved ones alike; and 14 S. R. 796 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1105 WHEREAS, Erica had a very unique ability to bring levity and la ughter to any room she15 entered regardless if it were a personal or professional setting; and16 WHEREAS, at the center of Erica's life was her family, whom she loved fiercely and17 unconditionally, and to whom she gave her time, strength, and unwavering devotion; and18 WHEREAS, she was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy and proudest role was19 nurturing her son, Jazelin Robinson, whose life will forever reflect her love, guidance, and20 enduring spirit; and21 WHEREAS, Erica was a cherished daughter and sister, deeply rooted in family bonds built22 on faith, love, and steadfast support, serving as a source of s trength, wisdom, and comfort23 to those closest to her; and24 WHEREAS, she was a beloved aunt, godmother, sister friend, and family member who25 poured into her nieces, nephews, and god-children with a nurturing heart, ensuring each felt26 seen, valued, and deeply loved; and27 WHEREAS, Erica demonstrated remarkable courage, grace, and resi lience, continuing to28 inspire hope and strength in her family and all who walked alongside her; and29 WHEREAS, Erica Christine Easter was a devoted mother, beloved family member, faithful30 servant, and treasured friend whose legacy of love, faith, and service will forever live on.31 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body32 extend their deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to her family, friends, and loved ones,33 S. R. 796 - 2 - 26 LC 129 1105 and commit to honoring Erica Christine Easter's memory by carry ing forward the34 compassion, unity, and unwavering faith that defined her life.35 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed36 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of Erica37 Christine Easter.38 S.
