26 LC 129 1074 House Resolution 1381 By: Representatives Miller of the 62nd, Kendrick of the 95th, Moore of the 91st, Crawford of the 89th, Carter of the 93rd, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending New Birth Missionary Baptist Church; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, with more than 22,000 members, New Birth Missionary Ba ptist Church in2 Stonecrest, Georgia, is one of the fastest-growing and most influential faith communities in3 the country, allowing the Word of God to spread throughout the community; and4 WHEREAS, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church blends vibrant wo rship with service,5 economic empowerment, and social justice advocacy, serving as both a spiritual home and6 a catalyst for measurable change across metro Atlanta and around the world; and7 WHEREAS, the congregation of this church has compiled an unpara lleled record of8 constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates daily through9 open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and10 WHEREAS, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church is committed to ad dressing food11 insecurity through the Kings Table Ministry; combating housing insecurity with the 33-acre,12 mixed use development, The Benison ATL; and expanding opportunities for youth though13 its Catapult Summer Academy; and14 H. R. 1381 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1074 WHEREAS, the members of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church have a sincere desire to15 serve the Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ; and16 WHEREAS, the story of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church is one of triumph through the17 grace and sustaining power of God, and it stands as an immovable witness to the truth that18 God keeps His promise; and19 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message20 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works rendered21 on behalf of persons in need.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body recognize the rich history of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church24 and extend their warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to New27 Birth Missionary Baptist Church.28 H.
