26 LC 129 1194 House Resolution 1395 By: Representatives Carson of the 46th and Cooper of the 45th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Brian James Hunt; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Brian James Hunt on February 7, 2026; and3 WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and l iberty with the United4 States Air Force, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans for four years;5 and 6 WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Brain James Hunt was an active member of7 Johnson Ferry Baptist Church; and8 WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Sarah, and was blessed with six9 remarkable children, Joshua, Emily, Katherine, Elizabeth, Rebec ca, and John; and six10 wonderful grandchildren, Emerson, Nora Beth, Scarlet, Joseph, Haven, and Heidi; and11 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern12 for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his13 family and friends were admired by others; and14 H. R. 1395 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1194 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation15 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he16 made this world a better place in which to live; and17 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Brain James Hunt will long be remembered18 for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great19 fortune of knowing him.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory o f Brian James Hunt and22 express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the25 family of Brian James Hunt.26 H.
