26 LC 49 2686 House Bill 1378 By: Representatives Carter of the 93rd, Stinson of the 150th, Donatucci of the 105th, Evans of the 57th, Glaize of the 67th, and others A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Article 2 of Chapter 2B of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, the1 "Georgia Promise Scholarship Act," so as to clarify student res idency qualification for2 promise scholarship accounts; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and3 for other purposes.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5 SECTION 1.6 Article 2 of Chapter 2B of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, the "Georgia7 Promise Scholarship Act," is amended by revising paragraph (3) of subsection (a) of Code8 Section 20-2B-22, relating to participating student qualificati ons, continued eligibility of9 participating students to receive funds subject to conditions, requirements for parents of10 participating students, and forfeiture of account funds, as follows:11 "(3) The student resides in the attendance zone of Based on his or her primary residence,12 the student is enrolled or eligible to be enrolled in a public school that is included on the13 list of public schools provided for in Code Section 20-2B-29 or eligible to enroll in a14 qualified kindergarten program of such school;"15 H.
