26 LC 129 9029 House Resolution 1405 By: Representatives Taylor of the 173rd, Cannon of the 172nd, Erwin of the 32nd, Cox of the 28th, and Campbell of the 171st A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Fellowship of Christian Officials; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the Fellowship of Christian Officials (FCO) is a disti nguished 501(c)(3)2 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting sports referees and umpires across all athletic3 disciplines; and4 WHEREAS, the FCO seeks to empower its members to lead by exampl e, upholding the5 highest standards of integrity and Christian values both on and off the field of play; and6 WHEREAS, the FCO supports sports officials at integrating Christian faith and values into7 their professional work, aiming to glorify God through the platform of officiating; and8 WHEREAS, the organization provides a vital support system for officials, offering spiritual9 encouragement and fostering a faith-driven community that strives to reflect the character10 of Christ; and11 WHEREAS, through their commitment to faith-based leadership, FC O members serve as12 ambassadors of the Gospel, utilizing their roles to positively influence athletes, coaches, and13 spectators alike.14 H. R. 1405 - 1 - 26 LC 129 9029 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that15 the members of this body recognize and commend the Fellowship of Christian Officials and16 extend sincere best wishes for continued growth and success.17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized18 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the19 Fellowship of Christian Officials.20 H.
