HR1412: HR1412 Hebron Christian Academy football team; winning the 2026 3A-A Private State Championship; commend

26 LC 129 0781 House Resolution 1412 By: Representatives Donatucci of the 105th, Efstration of the 104th, and Martinez of the 111th A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Hebron Christian Academy football team for w inning the 2026 3A-A1 Private State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Hebron Christian Academy football team, establishe d in 2007, has3 maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics;4 and5 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of football6 competition by posting an outstanding record of 12 wins and only one loss; and7 WHEREAS, the team brought special recognition to its school by winning the 2026 3A-A8 Private State Championship against Calvary Day School with a final score of 28-21; and9 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding10 athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the11 team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astut e direction of Head Coach12 Kenny Dallas; and13 H. R. 1412 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0781 WHEREAS, this all-star team included senior wide receiver Jarvi s Mathurin, who was14 named as the game’s Most Valuable Player after recording two in terceptions on defense,15 along with 60 rushing yards on four carries with a 58-yard touchdown; senior running back16 Devon Caldwell, who totaled 85 rushing yards on 25 carries with one touchdown; freshman17 wide receiver Austin Kitchings, who caught a touchdown pass for 27 yards, totaling 3618 receiving yards in the game; senior defensive back/wide receiver Max Steve, who recorded19 8 tackles, one interception, and two pass breakups on defense, while scoring an 11-yard20 touchdown reception on offense; as well as senior quarterback G ray Costello and junior21 quarterback Jordan Greene who each threw for one touchdown; and22 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by23 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is24 abundantly proper to call them champions.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body congratulate the Hebron Christian Acad emy football team for27 winning the 2026 3A-A Private State Championship and extend bes t wishes for their28 continued success.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the31 Hebron Christian Academy football team.32 H.
