26 LC 47 3864/AP House Bill 1356 (AS PASSED HOUSE AND SENATE) By: Representative Stinson of the 150th A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend an Act creating a board of commissioners for Macon County, approved August 26,1 1872 (Ga. L. 1872, p. 434), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March 14, 19832 (Ga. L. 1983, p. 4048), and by an Act approved March 18, 1985 (Ga. L. 1985, p. 3849), so3 as to revise the compensation of the chairperson and members of the board of4 commissioners; to provide for related matters; to repeal confli cting laws; and for other5 purposes.6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:7 SECTION 1.8 An Act creating a board of commissioners for Macon County, appr oved August 26, 18729 (Ga. L. 1872, p. 434), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March 14, 1983 (Ga. L.10 1983, p. 4048), and by an Act approved March 18, 1985 (Ga. L. 1985, p. 3849), is amended11 by adding a new section to read as follows:12 "SECTION 1A.13 The chairperson of the board of commissioners shall receive as compensation for his or her14 service as chairperson $1,100.00 per month. Each other member of the board of15 H. B. 1356 - 1 - 26 LC 47 3864/AP commissioners shall receive as compensation for his or her serv ices as a commissioner16 $1,000.00 per month."17 SECTION 2.18 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.19 H.
