26 LC 129 1189 House Resolution 1394 By: Representative Santos of the 117th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Officer Paramhans Desai; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia lost one of its finest citizens a nd most dedicated law2 enforcement officers with the untimely passing of Officer Paramhans Desai on November3 8, 2021; and4 WHEREAS, Officer Desai was highly regarded by the citizens of his community and state5 and by local government officials as a person of unquestioned integrity and dedication to the6 sound principles of law enforcement; and7 WHEREAS, he served with honor and distinction as a member of the Henry County Police8 Department, and his life was tragically taken in the line of duty while he heroically carried9 out the difficult responsibilities of his vocation; and10 WHEREAS, Officer Desai exhibited extraordinary devotion to public service, outstanding11 loyalty, fine leadership, and meticulous attention to detail in all of his duties; and12 H. R. 1394 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1189 WHEREAS, he will long be remembered for his inspiring commitmen t to the welfare of13 others, which stands as a shining example of the positive effec t law enforcement14 professionals have on the lives and well-being of others.15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that16 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Officer Paramhans Desai17 and express their most sincere condolences at his passing.18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized19 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the20 family of Officer Paramhans Desai.21 H.
