26 LC 129 1126 House Resolution 1400 By: Representative Santos of the 117th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Ty Lewis Williams; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Ty Lewis Williams on February 3, 2026, at the age of 23; and3 WHEREAS, Ty Lewis Williams was born on September 26, 2002, in Stockbridge, Georgia,4 a beloved son of Stephanie Carreker and Jermey Williams; and5 WHEREAS, a passionate writer and musician, Ty could light up a room with his quick wit,6 detailed storytelling, and unforgettable sense of humor; and7 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern8 for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his9 family and friends were admired by others; and10 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation11 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he12 made this world a better place in which to live; and13 H. R. 1400 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1126 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Ty will long be remembered for his love14 of UFC, but above all, his deep and abiding love f or his family, and will be missed by all15 who had the great fortune of knowing him.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory o f Ty Lewis Williams and18 express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized20 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the21 family of Ty Lewis Williams.22 H.
