26 LC 129 1179 Senate Resolution 819 By: Senators Hickman of the 4th, Payne of the 54th, Hatchett of the 50th, Strickland of the 42nd, Tillery of the 19th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Heather Rogers; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Heather Rogers has long been recognized by the citizen s of this state for the2 vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare3 of the citizens of Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,5 talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced6 dramatically by her superlative service as the sole victim advo cate in the Office of the7 Solicitor-General in Bulloch County, Georgia; and8 WHEREAS, Heather's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience9 and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state10 have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and11 WHEREAS, as a victim advocate, Heather has consistently demonst rated the highest12 standard of compassion, patience, and professionalism, providin g emotional support and13 legal guidance to clients during times of profound grief; and14 S. R. 819 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1179 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high15 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom16 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved17 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and18 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for19 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body23 recognize and commend Heather Rogers for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated24 public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued25 health and happiness.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed27 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Heather Rogers.28 S.
