26 LC 129 1209 House Resolution 1428 By: Representative Cummings of the 39th A RESOLUTION Congratulating Mr. Terry Cummings upon his induction as an Hono rary Member of 1001 Black Men of DeKalb County; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Mr. Terry Cummings has demonstrated a lifetime of excellence, leadership, and3 dedication both on and off the basketball court; and4 WHEREAS, a former NBA All-Star and NBA Rookie of the Year, Mr. Cummings built a5 distinguished professional basketball career marked by discipli ne, perseverance, and elite6 performance; and7 WHEREAS, as an NBA Hall of Fame nominee, he has earned national recognition for his8 contributions to the sport and for serving as a role model to a spiring athletes and young9 leaders across the nation; and10 WHEREAS, beyond athletics, Mr. Cummings has remained committed to mentorship,11 leadership development, and uplifting communities through service and engagement; and12 H. R. 1428 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1209 WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of DeKalb County is an esteemed organization dedicated13 to mentoring youth, promoting educational excellence, fostering economic empowerment,14 and strengthening families and communities; and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng achievements of Mr.16 Terry Cummings and his induction as a new honorary member of 100 Black Men of DeKalb17 County be recognized by this body.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body congratulate Mr. Terry Cummings upon h is induction as an20 honorary member of 100 Black Men of DeKalb County, commend him for his professional21 accomplishments and community leadership, and extend best wishes for continued success22 and service.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to Mr.25 Terry Cummings and to the leadership of 100 Black Men of DeKalb County.26 H.
