26 LC 129 1049 Senate Resolution 831 By: Senators Walker III of the 20th, Anavitarte of the 31st, Tillery of the 19th, Echols of the 49th, Brass of the 6th and others A RESOLUTION Celebrating the Birth of Charles "Beau" Donald Barrett IV; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, on August 13, 2025, Charlie and Haley Barrett became the proud parents of a2 beautiful baby boy; and3 WHEREAS, Charles "Beau" Donald Barrett IV weighed eight pounds and measured 21.54 inches at birth; and5 WHEREAS, baby Beau has already brought immense joy to his famil y and has been6 welcomed with overwhelming happiness by friends, colleagues, an d the members of the7 Georgia Senate family; and8 WHEREAS, his father, Charlie Barrett, has faithfully served the Georgia State Senate as9 Chief of Staff to the President Pro Tempore since January of 20 23, and is widely known10 throughout the Capitol for his leadership and steady guidance; and11 WHEREAS, his mother, Haley Barrett, has served the State of Georgia as Communications12 Director for the Georgia State Ethics Commission since September of 2020, exemplifying13 professionalism, dedication, and a strong commitment to public service; and14 S. R. 831 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1049 WHEREAS, the birth of baby Beau is, as Charlie would say, "very positive," and the15 members of this body are delighted that baby Beau already enjoy s riding in a big red car16 named Clifford.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body18 congratulate Charlie and Haley Barrett on the birth of their son, Charles Donald Barrett IV,19 and extend best wishes for a long, happy, and healthy life for this newest Georgian.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed21 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the proud parents22 of Charles Donald Barrett IV.23 S.
