A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the contributions of Asian Americans Advancing Justice -1
Atlanta, Asian American Advocacy Fund, Asian American Voices for Education, Georgia2
AAPI Hub, Raksha, and We Love Buford Highway on Asian American Advocacy Day; and3
for other purposes.4
WHEREAS, Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta, Asian Am erican Advocacy5
Fund, Asian American Voices for Education, Georgia AAPI Hub, R aksha, and We Love6
Buford Highway collectively serve diverse needs of Asian Americ an and Pacific Islander7
(AAPI) as well as Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian (AMEMSA) communities8
in Georgia, including teachers, schools, parents, students, and survivors of violence; and9
WHEREAS, these organizations work to amplify community voices a nd to build and10
promote a politically and civically conscious and engaged Asian American community in11
Georgia; and12
WHEREAS, these organizations have worked to strengthen the non- profit ecosystem in13
Georgia and their work enhances the social, cultural, political, and economic well-being of14
AAPI communities across Georgia; and15

WHEREAS, these organizations have worked to advance the economic stability and dignity16
of AAPI and AMEMSA communities, including representing, organiz ing, and preserving17
multicultural small businesses in Georgia; and18
WHEREAS, these organizations provide culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate19
services to AAPI and AMEMSA communications in multiple language s, spanning voter20
education, legal services, advocacy, counseling, supportive ser vices, mutual aid, and a21
plethora of other direct services; and22
WHEREAS, these organizations work in multiracial partnerships across public, private, and23
community sectors to respond to community needs and strengthen community resilience; and24
WHEREAS, these organizations have empowered the next generation of leaders by investing25
in teacher leadership and youth leadership the arts, and storytelling; and26
WHEREAS, these organizations increase visibility of current and past contributions of AAPI27
and AMEMSA communities; and28
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng efforts and service of29
these exemplary organizations be appropriately recognized.30
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that31
the members of this body recognize and commend the contribution s of Asian Americans32
Advancing Justice - Atlanta, Asian American Advocacy Fund, Asian American Voices for33
Education, Georgia AAPI Hub, Raksha, and We Love Buford Highway on Asian American34
Advocacy Day.35

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized36
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Asian37
Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta, Asian American Advocacy Fund, Asian American38
Voices for Education, Georgia AAPI Hub, Raksha, and We Love Buford Highway.39
