26 LC 129 1226 House Resolution 1441 By: Representatives Bazemore of the 69th, Hugley of the 141st, Neal of the 79th, Herring of the 145th, Kendrick of the 95th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Aubrey Allen; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Aubrey Allen is a sophomore at the University of Southern California, studying2 Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies within the Keck School of Medicine; and3 WHEREAS, in 2022, along with her two peers, Ariel Hibbert and J asmine Stamper, she4 co-founded Telepsy, an app for individuals with epilepsy; and5 WHEREAS, the award-winning app is used to aid individuals in managing their epilepsy by6 providing information and tools that can be used to make a difference in their daily lives; and 7 WHEREAS, Telepsy has features such as the ability to locate nearby hospitals based on your8 current location, appointment reminders for doctor visits, a seizure timer, and direct access9 to emergency services like 911; and10 WHEREAS, at the University of Southern California, Aubrey serve s as a Student11 Ambassador within Admissions and University Advancement, repres enting the university12 to prospective students, families, alumni, and parents through tours, outreach, and13 engagement and14 H. R. 1441 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1226 WHEREAS, in collaboration with the Ellison Institute of Technol ogy, Aubrey’s team15 addressed gender identity bias in medical AI systems, focusing on ethical deployment in16 cancer care; and17 WHEREAS, as a Fellow with the Civic Innovation Academy at Georg etown University,18 Aubrey researched and presented a $20 million strategic campaig n to advance secure and19 equitable mobile voting across more than fifteen states by 2028 , integrating technology,20 legal policy, accessibility, and public education to address security, privacy, and legislative21 barriers to adoption; and22 WHEREAS, through clinical exposure, research, and innovation, A ubrey brings a23 systems-focused and equity-centered perspective to future healthcare leadership; and24 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for25 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and26 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this27 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that29 the members of this body recognize and commend Aubrey Allen and extend the most sincere30 best wishes for continued health and happiness.31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to33 Aubrey Allen.34 H.
