26 LC 129 1123 House Resolution 1432 By: Representatives Martin of the 49th, Jones of the 47th, Hilton of the 48th, Silcox of the 53rd, and Jones of the 25th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce; and for1 other purposes.2 WHEREAS, North Fulton is a diverse and thriving region boasting six unique cities; nearly3 400,000 residents; six Fortune 500 companies; a highly educated workforce and talent base;4 top-tier public and private educational institutions; world-cla ss healthcare; nationally5 acclaimed outdoor parkland, trails, and green space; a vibrant arts, culture, and entertainment6 scene; and a quality of life that is second to none; and7 WHEREAS, for over five decades, the Greater North Fulton Chambe r of Commerce has8 served as a catalyst for the region's growth, connectivity, inn ovation, transformation, and9 economic vitality by serving as the voice and champion of business in North Fulton; and10 WHEREAS, the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce is a 5-St ar Accredited11 Chamber and as the only regional chamber in North Fulton comprising six distinct cities; and 12 WHEREAS, the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce is uniquely positioned to bring13 industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and experts from surrounding c ommunities together,14 fostering innovation and collaboration; and15 H. R. 1432 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1123 WHEREAS, the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce's over five decades of success16 have been built upon the organization's humble beginnings back in 1973, when a small group17 of local business leaders came together to create the Greater N orth Fulton Chamber of18 Commerce; and 19 WHEREAS, twenty years before GA-400 was built, the Greater North Fulton Chamber of20 Commerce's founders saw the potential for what this region coul d become in the decades21 ahead and had the vision to invest in their community to ensure it was positioned to grow and22 flourish; and23 WHEREAS, the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce's mission is to grow business,24 develop talent, and lead regional prosperity across North Fulton; and25 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the Greater N orth Fulton Chamber of26 Commerce be appropriately recognized.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body recognize and commend the Greater Nort h Fulton Chamber of29 Commerce and extend best wishes for continued success.30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized31 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the32 Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.33 H.
