A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Larry M. Lehman for his lifetime of service and leadership1
in public health; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Larry M. Lehman has dedicated more than 41 years of visionary leadership to3
public health, including 34 distinguished years as the President and Chief Executive Officer4
of Positive Impact Health Centers (PIHC); and5
WHEREAS, under his transformative guidance, PIHC has evolved into a premier healthcare6
institution, serving as the only CARF-accredited program in the State of Georgia, providing7
a comprehensive continuum of HIV prevention, clinical care, behavioral health, substance8
use treatment services, pharmacy, nutrition, and dental care; and9
WHEREAS, he has overseen a period of historic growth, leading a nd growing an10
organization with a budget of $3 million in 2015 to one that now comprises more than 32511
staff members with an annual budget exceeding $177 million, ded icated to the service of12
over 15,000 individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS across the metro-Atlanta region; and13

WHEREAS, Larry M. Lehman has distinguished himself as the epitome of a servant leader,14
defined by his humility, his unwavering focus on the well-being of the community, and his15
innate ability to lead with both his head and his heart; and16
WHEREAS, he is widely regarded as an exceptional mentor and adv ocate who has17
consistently invested in the professional and personal growth o f his staff, providing18
opportunities for advancement and empowering the next generation of public health leaders;19
and20
WHEREAS, his management brilliance was notably highlighted by the debt-free merger of21
AIDS Gwinnett and Positive Impact, serving as a national model for nonprofit efficiency and22
sustainability; and 23
WHEREAS, his dedicated work was recognized in 2015 when he was invited to the White24
House on World AIDS Day to present on the community benefits of the merger; and25
WHEREAS, a man of deep compassion, Larry has been a pillar of the Georgia community26
since 1982 and looks forward to a well-earned retirement in Lawrenceville spent traveling,27
riding his Harley-Davidson, and enjoying the company of his cherished husband, Sweet Ian28
Eduria, and two beloved dogs: Bruno and Piper; and29
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordi nary accomplishments of30
this distinguished Georgian, who has defined his tenure through excellence, kindness, and31
a life of service, be appropriately recognized by this body.32
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that33
the members of this body recognize and commend Larry M. Lehman for his lifetime of34

service and leadership in public health, congratulate him upon the grand occasion of his35
retirement at the end of 2026, and extend their most sincere be st wishes for his continued36
health and happiness.37
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized38
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Larry39
M. Lehman.40
