26 LC 129 1213 Senate Resolution 824 By: Senators Harbison of the 15th, Jones II of the 22nd, Orrock of the 36th, Payne of the 54th, Goodman of the 8th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the 68th Annual Southeast District Conference of the National1 Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, I nc., and honoring its2 longstanding commitment to leadership, service, and economic empowerment; and for other3 purposes.4 WHEREAS, the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs,5 Inc., (NANBPWC) was founded in 1935 and stands as one of the nation's longest-standing6 organizations dedicated to the professional, civic, and economi c advancement of African7 American women; and8 WHEREAS, for more than nine decades, NANBPWC has upheld a proud legacy of9 advocacy, leadership development, entrepreneurship, voter education, youth mentorship, and10 community service at the local, state, and national levels; and11 WHEREAS, the Southeast District of NANBPWC represents one of the organization's most12 dynamic and impactful regions, serving members across multiple states for more than six13 decades and consistently championing leadership excellence and community empowerment14 throughout the southeastern United States; and15 S. R. 824 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1213 WHEREAS, the 68th Annual Southeast District Conference will con vene March 19-22,16 2026, in Columbus, Georgia, bringing together business and professional women, community17 leaders, youth, and stakeholders from across the region; and18 WHEREAS, the 2026 conference theme, "Moving Forward With Purpose...Unstoppable,"19 reflects the organization's historic foundation and continued commitment to progress, service,20 and collective impact in strengthening families, communities, and economic opportunities;21 and22 WHEREAS, the members of NANBPWC and its Southeast District have made significant23 contributions to leadership development, economic empowerment, civic engagement, and24 community collaboration, thereby enhancing the quality of life for citizens throughout25 Georgia and the Southeast; and26 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments and27 enduring service of NANBPWC and its Southeast District be appropriately recognized.28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body29 recognize and commend the National Association of Negro Busines s and Professional30 Women's Clubs, Inc., Southeast District, upon the occasion of i ts 68th Annual Southeast31 District Conference, and extend best wishes for a successful an d impactful gathering in32 Columbus, Georgia.33 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed34 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the leadership of35 the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., Southeast36 District. 37 S.
