A RESOLUTION
Commending and congratulating Georgia "Louise" Kimble; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Georgia "Louise" Kimble was born on March 5, 1926, in Baldwin County,2
Georgia, and this year she enjoys the rare distinction of celebrating her 100th birthday; and3
WHEREAS, Georgia "Louise" Kimble graduated as valedictorian of Eddie High School in4
1943, earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Fort Valley State University in 19485
as well as a Master of Education from Boston University in 1958 , and later completed a6
certificate in data processing from Macon Technical College; and7
WHEREAS, she devoted 21 years to teaching high school mathemati cs across multiple8
Georgia communities and served the State of Georgia in several professional roles, including9
as an accountant, bookkeeper, and clerk; and10
WHEREAS, Georgia "Louise" Kimble possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through11
experience and the strength of character which is achieved thro ugh overcoming the many12
challenges of life; and13

WHEREAS, a resident of Georgia, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an14
unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and15
WHEREAS, a kind and generous person, Georgia "Louise" Kimble brings joy and happiness16
to her family and to the many friends and neighbors who have the great pleasure of knowing17
her; and18
WHEREAS, she has witnessed a dramatic change in the world over the course of her19
lifetime, and we salute her contribution to its progress through her own hard work and good20
citizenship; and21
WHEREAS, by the example Georgia "Louise" Kimble has made of her life, she makes this22
world a better place in which to live, and it is only fitting and proper that she be appropriately23
recognized during this very special and memorable time.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body commend Georgia "Louise" Kimble for her unselfish, dedicated,26
and loving service to the members of her family and community; congratulate her on the27
remarkable occasion of her 100th birthday; and extend their mos t sincere best wishes for28
continued health and happiness.29
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to31
Georgia "Louise" Kimble.32
