A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Sherita Blair; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Sherita Blair, of St. John’s, Antigua, West Indies, is a senior finance and2
operations leader with demonstrated expertise in financial stra tegy, organizational3
governance, and institutional management; and4
WHEREAS, Sherita currently serves as Business Administrator at the Perelman School of5
Medicine, where she provides strategic financial leadership, operational oversight, and fiscal6
accountability in support of academic and research missions; and7
WHEREAS, Sherita's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience8
and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state9
have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and10
WHEREAS, recognized for her strength in governance and fiduciary responsibility, Sherita11
serves as Treasurer of the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleade rs Association and as a12
Director on the Board of the Association of Alumnae of the University of Pennsylvania; and13

WHEREAS, she is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women and14
brings extensive nonprofit financial management experience thro ugh her current role as15
church bookkeeper and past service as treasurer; and16
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high17
ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom18
which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved19
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and20
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for21
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and22
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this23
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body recognize and commend Sherita Blair for her efficient, effective,26
unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere27
best wishes for continued health and happiness.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to30
Sherita Blair.31
