26 LC 112 3728 House Resolution 1452 By: Representatives Williams of the 168th and DeLoach of the 167th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Liberty County, Fulton County, a nd DeKalb County1 Youth Commissions for their continued service and leadership development efforts within2 the community; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, the Georgia House of Representatives takes great pride in recognizing4 organizations that dedicate themselves to the growth, developme nt, and empowerment of5 Georgia's youth; and6 WHEREAS, the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions'7 student-participants acquire greater knowledge and appreciation for the political system8 through active participation in local government and serve as a voice on issues affecting the9 lives of young people in Georgia; and10 WHEREAS, these organizations provide meaningful opportunities f or young people to11 develop essential leadership skills, strengthen their sense of civic responsibility, and engage12 in service projects that benefit the citizens of the State of Georgia, such as hosting a food and13 hygiene kit drive for the homeless and participating in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade; and14 H. R. 1452 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3728 WHEREAS, the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions'15 continued service and leadership development efforts have made a significant and lasting16 impact within the community, fostering a new generation of enga ged and empowered17 leaders; and18 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng accomplishments and19 contributions of the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions20 be appropriately honored.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body recognize and commend the Liberty County, Fulton County, and23 DeKalb County Youth Commissions for their continued service and leadership development24 efforts within the community as well as extend best wishes for continued success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the27 Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions.28 H.
