26 LC 129 1258 House Resolution 1468 By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Beckles of the 96th, Dawson of the 65th, Ali of the 106th, Jackson of the 68th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Lynn Bayonne; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Lynn Bayonne is a first-generation Haitian American wi th over 25 years of2 experience in Health Administration and Employee Support Services; and3 WHEREAS, she proudly served the C ity of Atlanta as an Employee Assistance Program4 (EAP) Case Manager, supporting public safety employees and their families across all city5 departments; and6 WHEREAS, Lynn's significant organizational and leadership talen ts, remarkable patience7 and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state8 have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and9 WHEREAS, in addition to her professional career, she made histo ry as the first Haitian10 American elected to the City of Clarkston, City Council; and11 WHEREAS, for more than 15 years she has remained committed to community service by12 assisting local schools as a parent advocate, serving as a team mom for youth sports, and13 mentoring teens through college preparation and life development; and14 H. R. 1468 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1258 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high15 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom16 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved17 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and18 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for19 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body recognize and commend Lynn Bayonne for her efficient, effective,24 unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere25 best wishes for continued health and happiness.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Lynn28 Bayonne.29 H.
