26 LC 129 1021 Senate Resolution 850 By: Senators Dixon of the 45th and Still of the 48th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Denise Rumbaugh; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Denise Rumbaugh has long demonstrated an unwavering co mmitment to the2 betterment of Gwinnett County through her tireless service acro ss a wide range of civic,3 educational, and governmental roles; and4 WHEREAS, she has served as the Vice Chairwoman of the Gwinnett County Zoning Board5 of Appeals since 2023 and was appointed to the Gwinnett County Citizens Budget Review6 Committee in 2025, contributing to the county's planning and fiscal accountability; and7 WHEREAS, Denise Rumbaugh has actively worked to improve public education by serving8 as a member of the Gwinnett Education Management System Oversig h t C o m m i t t e e , a9 member of the Gwinnett County Public Schools Disciplinary Action Committee from 202310 to 2025, and as Director for Gwinnett County Truth in Education since 2022; and11 WHEREAS, from 2021 to 2025, she served as the Second Vice Chairwoman of the Gwinnett12 County Republican GOP, providing leadership and organizational direction to strengthen13 local governance and political involvement; and14 S. R. 850 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1021 WHEREAS, her service also includes co-directing the Suwanee Pageant from 2018 to 201915 and serving as President and Vice President of her homeowners a ssociation from 2016 to16 2018; and17 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high18 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom19 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved20 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and21 WHEREAS, Denise Rumbaugh is a person of magnanimous strengths w ith an22 unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and23 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this24 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately honored.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body26 recognize and commend Denise Rumbaugh for her many exemplary contributions and years27 of service on behalf of her fellow citizens as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for28 continued health and happiness.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed30 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Denise Rumbaugh.31 S.
