26 LC 129 1286 Senate Resolution 840 By: Senators Kirkpatrick of the 32nd, Albers of the 56th, Still of the 48th, Dickerson of the 21st, Watson of the 1st and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Resurgens Roswell Surgery Center on the grand occasion1 of its 25th anniversary; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Resurgens Roswell Surgery Center was established 2 5 years ago with a3 steadfast commitment to providing high-quality, specialized orthopedic care to the citizens4 of Georgia; and5 WHEREAS, since its inception, the center has demonstrated an unparalleled dedication to6 patient health, successfully serving a remarkable 116,891 patients; and7 WHEREAS, the center has maintained an exceptional standard of c linical excellence, as8 evidenced by a consistently high patient satisfaction rating over its two and a half decades9 of operation; and10 WHEREAS, the stability and longevity of the center's leadership are exemplified by the11 service of only two Administrators throughout its history, supported by a committed medical12 staff averaging locally-based 29 physician partners; and13 S. R. 840 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1286 WHEREAS, Resurgens Roswell has remained at the forefront of sur gical innovation,14 introducing Total Joint Replacement procedures in 2015, thereby expanding access to critical15 orthopedic interventions in an outpatient setting; and16 WHEREAS, as an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), it provides a cost-effective alternative17 to traditional hospital care, significantly reducing the financial burden on Georgia citizens18 while increasing healthcare accessibility; and19 WHEREAS, the center's impact is further defined by its profound corporate citizenship,20 having provided $8,170,715.83 in free indigent and hardship car e to support the most21 vulnerable members of our community; and22 WHEREAS, this success is a testament to the hard work of the 21 7 individuals who have23 served on staff over the years, including the 47 current employees who continue this legacy24 of care today.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body26 recognize the 25th Anniversary of the Resurgens Roswell Surgery Center and commend its27 leadership, physicians, and staff for their contributions to th e health and well-being of the28 people of Georgia.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed30 to make an appropriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to the Resurgens31 Roswell Surgery Center.32 S.
