26 LC 129 1256 House Resolution 1469 By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Beckles of the 96th, Dawson of the 65th, Ali of the 106th, Jackson of the 68th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Anita Chukwumfumnaya Obidi; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Anita Chukwumfumnaya Obidi, of Igbuzo (Ibusa) in Delta State, South-South2 Nigeria, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, dancer and model; and3 WHEREAS, known as Korra Obidi, she started her dance career in 2007, featuring in a song4 by Nigerian female rapper Sasha P.; and5 WHEREAS, she is the recipient of an AFRIMMA nomination for the Best Dancer in 2017,6 performed in the Basketball Africa League 2017/2018 season, was a contestant in the 20197 edition of the American talent show So You Think You Can Dance; and8 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high9 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom10 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved11 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and12 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for13 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and14 H. R. 1469 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1256 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this15 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body recognize and commend Anita Chukwumfumnaya Obidi extend18 the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized20 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Anita21 Chukwumfumnaya Obidi.22 H.
