26 LC 129 1230 House Resolution 1486 By: Representatives Werkheiser of the 157 th, O’Steen of the 169 th, Meeks of the 178 th, Corbett of the 174th, and Dickey of the 134th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Kaitlyn Butler Marchant; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Kaitlyn Butler Marchant has long been recognized by the citizens of this state2 for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the3 welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, she became Georgia's first female to serve as State FFA Advisor when she was5 named the State Program Manager for Agricultural Education in 2025; and6 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high7 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom8 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved9 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and10 WHEREAS, she is an active FFA member, Farmer Bureau State Young F a r m e r s a n d11 Ranchers Leadership Committee Member, chairperson of two state-winning parliamentary12 procedure teams, the 2019 Georgia Farm Bureau State Discussion Meet Winner, the 202413 Georgia Farm Bureau State Excellence in Agriculture Winner, and finalist for the State Star14 in Agricultural Placement Award; and15 H. R. 1486 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1230 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for16 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this18 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20 the members of this body recognize and commend Kaitlyn Butler Marchant for her efficient,21 effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of and extend the most sincere22 best wishes for continued health and happiness.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to25 Kaitlyn Butler Marchant.26 H.
