26 LC 129 1206 House Resolution 1493 By: Representatives Dempsey of the 13th, Lumsden of the 12th, and Barton of the 5th A RESOLUTION Commending Julia Johnson, Rome City High School's 2025-2026 STAR Teacher; and for1 other purposes.2 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3 important objective of the General Assembly; and4 WHEREAS, Julia Johnson has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital5 role that she has played in the teaching profession and her deep personal commitment to the6 education of the students of Georgia; and7 WHEREAS, Julia Johnson has earned distinction for teaching exce llence and has been8 honored as Rome City High School's 2025-2026 STAR Teacher; and9 WHEREAS, in recognition of her contributions to the education and welfare of young people10 in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this bod y to honor the extraordinary11 accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.12 H. R. 1493 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1206 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that13 the members of this body commend Julia Johnson, Rome City High School's 2025-202614 STAR Teacher, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized16 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Julia17 Johnson.18 H.
