26 LC 129 1303 Senate Resolution 852 By: Senators Wicks of the 34th, Harbison of the 15th, Anderson of the 43rd, Sims of the 12th and Davenport of the 17th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Sharon D. Lise (H.C.); and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Dr. Sharon D. Lise (H.C.) is a dedicated veteran, comm unity leader, and2 advocate for service who currently serves as an SAP Materials Master with Pratt Industries;3 and4 WHEREAS, she served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United5 States Navy, valiantly and courageously protecting her fellow Americans for 7.5 years as an6 Electrician's Mate 3rd Class; and7 WHEREAS, deeply committed to service, Sharon actively gives bac k to her community8 through volunteer work with Soldiers' Angels Charity and is passionate about uplifting and9 supporting fellow veterans and underrepresented communities; and10 WHEREAS, she is a founding and lifetime member of Omicron Nu Xi Military Sorority,11 Inc., where she serves on the Board of Directors, the Budget & Audit Committee, and the12 Constitution & Bylaws Committee; and13 S. R. 852 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1303 WHEREAS, Sharon is a Lifetime Member of the National Associatio n of Black Military14 Women, contributing on the National Nominations & Elections Committee and serving as15 Financial Secretary, as well as previously held multiple leadership roles with the Fort Myers16 Police Athletic League; and17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this extraord inary Georgian be18 appropriately honored.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body20 recognize Dr. Sharon D. Lise (H.C.) for her honorable service and continued humanitarian21 leadership.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr. Sharon D.
