26 LC 62 0459S (SCS) Senate Bill 593 By: Senators Hatchett of the 50th and Tillery of the 19th AS PASSED SENATE A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Chapter 71 of Title 36 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to1 development impact fees, so as to provide for disclosure of imp act fees upon transfer of2 ownership; to provide for related matters; to provide for an ef fective date; to repeal3 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5 SECTION 1.6 Chapter 71 of Title 36 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to development7 impact fees, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows:8 "36-71-14.9 Upon written request by any individual, which includes a specif ic description of project10 scope, a municipality or county imposing development impact fees pursuant to this chapter11 shall disclose the total amount of development impact fees that would be due to the12 municipality or county as to any parcel or parcels of real estate in the event of a transfer of13 ownership of such parcel or parcels."14 S. B. 593 - 1 - 26 LC 62 0459S (SCS) SECTION 2.15 This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its becoming law16 without such approval.17 SECTION 3.18 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.19 S.
