26 LC 112 3736 Senate Resolution 865 By: Senator Rhett of the 33rd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Bryant Clark; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Bryant Clark has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of2 his time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state, as evidenced3 dramatically by his four decades of superlative service to the City of Smyrna; and4 WHEREAS, throughout his 36-year-long tenure as part of the City of Smyrna Public Works,5 Bryant Clark played a vital role in maintaining and improving t he city's infrastructure,6 ensuring public safety, and supporting the daily operations tha t keep Smyrna running7 smoothly; and8 WHEREAS, he has additionally served for four years with the Smy rna Fire Department,9 where he has consistently gone beyond the call of duty to ensur e the safety of his fellow10 citizens during times of emergency and beyond; and11 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high12 ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom13 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved14 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and15 S. R. 865 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3736 WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for16 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and17 WHEREAS, Bryant Clark has served with honor and distinction, an d his vision and18 unyielding commitment to the citizens of Smyrna will be sorely missed upon the occasion19 of his retirement; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately honored.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body23 recognize and commend Bryant Clark for his efficient, effective , unselfish, and dedicated24 public service to the State of Georgia; congratulate him upon t he grand occasion of his25 retirement; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed27 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Bryant Clark.28 S.
